What?
Dermaplaning is a pain-free, non-invasive treatment that gently removes the outermost layer of dead skin cells, dirt, debris and vellus hair (aka peach fuzz). A fantastic treatment for anyone wanting to have immediate results with no downtime.
Dermaplaning is a controlled form of exfoliation with predictable results. During a treatment an exfoliating blade is gently run over the skin which allows for removal of dead skin cells, vellus hairs, dirt, oil and debris. After a treatment your skin will be left feeling incredibly smooth, rejuvenated and glowing!
Dermaplaning is perfectly safe when performed by a highly trained and skilled therapist. At SKIN SCIENCE we pride ourselves in continuous training in order to provide the most effective and safe treatments for our clients.

Who?
Dermaplaning is considered a risk-free, pain-free and non-invasive treatment allowing it to be safely performed on most skin types. However there may be some instances where it would not be indicated.
It is always important to remember that the condition of the skin needs to be assessed before any dermaplaning treatments can be done. It is always best to do a thorough skin analysis before doing any treatments to ensure that one’s skin is indicated for this type of treatment. Remember not all skin types are indicated for dermaplaning.
To start off we recommend a Skin Analysis. This allows us to see what is going on within the different skin layers. From our findings we are able to draw up the best treatment plan indicated to treat your skin condition.
We always recommend a combination of products and treatments over a period of time to ensure the best possible results.
